Become a Poll Worker Today

It’s never too early to help democracy! By signing up to be a poll worker, you can ensure that all voters—including voters with disabilities, voters who need language assistance, and voters who want to cast their ballot in person—have a positive experience at the polls. Sign up today!

The deadline to cure (correct) your absentee/mail ballot by mail is on Election Day, November 8th, 2022, or in person at your county clerk's office by November 14th, 2022. If the ballot board determines it's possible to correct the error and return the envelope before the polls close on Election Day, the board will return it to you by mail. Suppose the board determines that it would not be possible for you to correct the defect and return the ballot by mail. In that case, the board may notify you of the error by telephone or email and request your application to vote-by-mail be canceled or that you come to the clerk's office in person to correct the mistake. You can track the status of your mail ballot using your state’s online tool.  If you voted a provisional ballot because you did not show a valid photo ID at the polls, you have until November 14th to provide evidence supporting your voting eligibility.
