ALERT: Due to COVID-19 (coronavirus), all voters are encouraged to vote mail ballots. Virginia law does not require a reason to vote Early/Absentee, which started September 18.  The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot for the November 3 election is October 23.  Drop boxes, postage paid envelopes and an opportunity to cure ballots are available for this election only. Voters mailing absentee ballots for the November 3 election do NOT need a witness. For now, the witness requirement still applies to all other elections. Voters voting on Election Day should double-check their polling locations as many locations have been changed throughout Virginia, although all polling precincts will be open.
