Oklahoma does not have an absentee/mail ballot curing process. We recommend that you track the status of your ballot using your state’s online tool before Election Day to make sure it has been received and accepted. If you voted a provisional ballot, your ballot will either be counted or rejected by November 11th, 2022. If your ballot cannot be counted, you will be mailed a letter explaining the reason.
The deadline to cure (correct) your absentee/mail ballot is November 15th, 2022. If an error is found with your ballot, an election official will notify you of the issue by mail. The notice will include the necessary information and instructions to make the correction. If you voted a provisional ballot, you have until the same deadline above to present evidence to support your eligibility to vote. If you voted by “set aside” ballot at the polls when you did not have the proper identification (ID), you must bring your valid ID to your county elections office for your vote to be counted. You must do this before your county’s canvassing board meets, which can be as early as six days after Election Day.

If you voted by an affidavit ballot, you will be required to return your copy of the affidavit verification letter and a copy of any required documentation to the Secretary of State in the provided prepaid U.S. Postal Service envelope by November 15th, 2022 in order for the ballot to be certified.
