Become a Poll Worker Today

It’s never too early to help democracy! By signing up to be a poll worker, you can ensure that all voters—including voters with disabilities, voters who need language assistance, and voters who want to cast their ballot in person—have a positive experience at the polls. Sign up today!

The deadline to cure (correct) your absentee/mail ballot is 48 hours before the final certification of election results. The county board of elections will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your ballot if any errors are found. The notice will include the necessary information and instructions to correct your ballot on time. Additionally, you can track your ballot through your state’s online tool. If you voted a provisional ballot, it must be researched after the election to determine voter eligibility. You can call 1-877-NJVOTER (1-877-658-6837) after the election to find out whether your provisional ballot was counted or the reason it was rejected. Questioned ballots are either counted or rejected by November 14th, 2022.
